Measles Alert

In light of the current outbreak of measles in Wales and the recent cases in the North West, we would like to encourage eligible patients to attend for their MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccination.

If your child has either not been vaccinated or has had only one dose of the MMR vaccination, please contact the surgery as soon as possible to arrange an appointment for immunisation.

If you are under 45 years of age and are unsure of your immunisation status, please contact the surgery so that we can review your medical records.

If you are aged 45 or over, you will have already been exposed to measles as a child even if you have not had the full blown disease yourself and will therefore be immune.

We are aware that it is sometimes difficult to contact the practice by telephone. We  are upgrading our telephone system to include greater functionality, such as call queuing and departmental selections (call select). This will be happening soon, supported by the CCG. Many thanks for your patience.
